Unruly Gin starts life as 100% pure BC Honey. We gently ferment our honey into mead and distill that mead to spirit using custom designed stills to separate out the harsh heads and the oily tails, ensuring that only the softest and sweetest hearts are ever collected. We then distill those hearts one final time, using vapour infusion to capture the delicate and bright aromas of our unique blend of locally sourced and organic botanicals.

Named after Barrett Montfort, the founder of the Shelter Point farm, Montfort is a special field-to-flask whisky. This whisky literally has its roots in this beautiful land. A true single grain whisky, made from 100% barley, Montfort is grown, distilled and bottled entirely in one location. Each of the fields on the farm have specific soil classifications and different proximities to the sea and the forests. These micro regions produce barley grown in different ways, each with distinctive and unique flavor profiles. The outcome is a whisky of depth, subtlety and complexity.

From the Single Malt Infusion Series, we took our 3 year old small batch whisky and aged it on Columbian cacao nibs. The result is rich and dark chocolatey notes, but not too sweet. A bit about Level Ground: “We partner with progressive co-ops who are focused on coffee quality, environmental sustainability and fair income for farmers. Everything we do is fair trade and organic.”

The whisky shows a balanced marriage of fruits, caramel, barley, baking spices, honey, seaside whiff, hints of wine, smoke and the sweet leathery mouthfeel of a high-quality single malt.

Jason has fond memories of cooking with rhubarb over the years, especially compote made with rhubarb freshly harvested from his garden. Drawn to the winning combination of rhubarb and star anise, he envisioned a liqueur that would taste as fresh and bright as a new summer’s day. With its classic gin base, premium rhubarb grown in British Columbia, and maceration process involving star anise and lemon skins, this liqueur achieves a perfect balance of tart, sweet, and subtly vegetal notes. A year-round delight, this liqueur is great on its own for sipping and equally enjoyable in a simple cocktail—just add ice and bubbles.

At the heart of this cocktail lies our carefully crafted rye, aged in oak barrels to develop its rich character. The result is a fine balance between the bitter undertones of ginseng and the luscious, indulgent notes of caramel and vanilla derived from the aging process. To further enhance the complexity and authenticity of our Old Fashion-inspired cocktail, we incorporate our house-made bitters and a touch of Canadian maple syrup. These additions impart an irresistible depth of flavour, elevating the drink to a new level of enjoyment.

Campbell River's 1958 Ripple Rock explosion is the inspiration behind this expression of Shelter Point single malt whisky, aged in alligator charred virgin American oak casks and bourbon barrels. Distilled in traditional pot stills with water from our aquifer.

Limoncello is at the heart of Italian liqueurs. Fresh zesty lemons, pure spirit, and sugar are all it takes. We hand peel every fresh organic lemon that goes into our limoncello. After extracting all of the delicious citrus oils from the peels we add vacuum-distilled peppercorn, citrus, and chili pepper to create a bright limoncello with a kick.

We took a barrel of compromised Chardonnay and some apple cider tailings from other local producers, giving them new life by distilling them into this wondrous, upcycled fruit brandy. We spiced it with Cobble hill blueberries, allspice, lemon, and vanilla.

This nod to the classic Italian liqueur does not stray far from its inspiration. A precise combination of organic lemons and cane sugar come together to create this distinctly lemon-yellow tipple. Using only the zest of the lemons makes this liqueur bright but not tart, while the organic cane sugar allows for a natural sweetness and creates a velvety texture.

For this naturally colored Black Gin, botanicals like Juniper, Rooibos, & Spruce are distilled using a traditional copper pot still. Our distinct blend of black truffles and hand foraged mushrooms like Morel, Blue Oyster, Shiitake and Chanterelles are distilled with our very unique vacuum still. Because the gin is naturally colored, sediment and the fading of color may occur.

Our multiple Gold Medal Award-winning Triticale Whisky is our flagship whisky of Monashee Spirits. Crafted with hyper-locally sourced grain from within 58 miles as a crow flies from the distillery, this whisky pays homage to its Scottish roots, where triticale, a cross between wheat and rye, originated in the 1800s. Its robust flavour profile, combining the sweetness of wheat with the spiciness of rye, is complemented by a rich array of secondary notes, including stewed fruits, vanilla, and festive spices reminiscent of your Grandmother's Christmas cake.

The Old Dame is our third Gin release with the same botanical make up of the Jackknife gin. However it has been mellowed over time in a merlot barrel where it comes with a pink hue and a delicate attitude.

Our Cranberry liqueur was developed for the 2016 Cranberry Festival and has quickly become our best selling liqueur.

The Empiric Gin is centered around the merger of classic botanicals such as juniper and coriander along side west coast staples such as hops, rosemary lavender and the unique addition of lemon verbena imparting the gin's citrus tones. Especially floral yet well balanced.

Made on the lake in Invermere, BC, we’ve crafted this exceptional spirit free from artificial colours and dyes. How did we achieve such an adventurous undertaking? By using only the plumpest, juiciest blueberries that we could find. The result is a deep blue vodka with a perfectly wild blueberry flavour.

Not a whiskey but this is a very smooth alternative. We make it with a 50-50 blend of BC apples and rye grain, fermented together with a touch of barrel again. Sip it straight over ice or use it in an Old Fashion!
